Ehgaon viaduct girder replacement...A magnificient feat of Bridge Engineering.
Ehgaon viaduct on Thull ghat at km/130 between Kasara & Igatpuri is going under complete girder renewal.The last regirdering was done about 110 years back.This photo documentary shows amazing piece of Bridge Engineering & the first girder replacement probably captured on a movie & a still camera for the first time.The subsequent replacement of the other 2 girders will shortly be carried out.This documentary is a joint presentation by CR,the Contractor of the project & IRFCA-Nasik.

Very informative and rare capture of heavy bridge work, nice to see a 100 yr bridge get a facelift.
