The freight train to my right provides relief from the bright sun as I take cover to shoot the 2627 Bangalore-New Delhi Karnataka Express crossing my train - the 6009 Mumbai Chennai Mail south of Solapur in Maharashtra. Its being handled by a KJM WDM/2 pair, uncommon as this train is almost always Itarsi WDM/2 hauled. |

Sleeper class travel is awesome for trainspotting, but cruel summers can unnerve even the most tolerant traveller. The bright May sun seems to offer no respite to 6010 Chennai Mumbai Mail, as it gets crossed by the 1013 Kurla-Coimbatore Express at Marichetal in AP. |
