Wow, a loco dedicated completely to the TN express!!! BTW which shed was it from?

Interestingly Tamil Nadu Express is painted on the loco..Dont think too many trains including the Rajs and Shats got this honour..

Old is gold. The loco most probably belongs to TKD or may be ET also.

Wonderful, wonderful!! My fav train!! This pic was prob taken less than a year after 121Dn/122Up was introduced when it was still in its 13-16 coach avataar - all in this fantastic livery. The loco is most prob from TKD and it used to run all the way from Madras to Delhi, till MAS-BZA was electrified around 1980, from which time I used to be a rgular on this magnificent specimen of an IR Superfast. Great picture reminding of days gone by! I love the way people are standing on that cold morning; they seem to be just awestruck by the train and loco! its speed, its color, and its charm. I wish they had a camera too!!

Thanks a lot for the pic. Brought memories of my childhood in Ramagundam, sitting in front of house and watching GT and TN blast past with exactly same livery.
