Hi Nikhil, are you sure this is Parasuram Exp? Parasuram takes the Kottayam route and not Alleppey route. But, when there is a problem in KTYM route, trains do take Alleppey route and this is very common

Hello Jimmy, yes .. it is the Parasuram express, and you are correct, I did not see this train name listed in the station charts and was in fact curious as to how it arrived there. You answered that question. Thanks !

Hi Nikhil, sometime back, Parasuram used to take ALLP route every sunday. But, 16th Jan was not one. Even now, since testing of the electrical line is going on in the KTYM route, trains get diverted on pre mentioned days through ALLP route very frequently. I think this was one such day. I think you would have noticed that Parasuram has the worst and dirtiest rake in SR. Some GS are from the 80XXX series, with 3 + 2 arrangement

well my doubt has been answered but parasuram usually gets an erode wdm2c.. good to see parasu with a neat ERS power.

Parasuram does not get a WDM2C. I guess you are referring to the Venad Express that gets a WDM2C. It is rare to see an ERS loco hauling Parasuram. It mostly gets hauled by Erode Locomotives.

well thanks sandeep .. i wasnt mentioning venad, but parasu, the 2C was a wrong observation.. now the question is... why should this TVC - MAQ train have an ED power and not ERS?
