Mala was a Station some months ago but due to some Unknown reason, it is recently converted into "halt". but Calling signal & Starter were not removed due to some Unknown Reason. Both Signals are operated by the Gate man of a nearby LC(Just before Station on the other side).

Around thirty years ago, spotting wildlife, including tigers and elephants, from the train was common occurrence in these parts.

This section does have wildlife, in fact a tiger was recently run over caught under and dragged for over 1.5 km by the Mailani Gonda passenger train
