Nice capture. Locations seems to be somewhere between Karjat & Palasdari.

Mind blowing shot of this bonnetted beast!

Lovely shot. Picture period is December 1987 so did the white-red livery of EMU exist that time? I thought it was an invention of mid 90's.

Over a decade back, this brilliant image was on the website of Sundar 'Nut' Krishnamurthy. I know because I have spent hours drooling over this picture. How did it get here? The location is probably Palasdhari home signal.

Appu, did you mean the picture on this page - http://www.irfca.org/~sundar/wcm02.html ? I, too, remember feasting on all the pictures when Sundar came out with his pictures.

I can vividly recall my surprise on finding the EMU peek out behind my train when I took this picture in mid '98. Thanks for sharing this!

Brings back pleasant memories of seeing this picture in one of the first websites by an IRFCA member to showcase these beauties - The Indian Train Gallery by our very own Sundar'nut' - http://www.irfca.org/~sundar/index1.html

This is the 6339 Nagercoil Express waiting for the third line to clear for its climb at Palasdhari.

Was tough for a Sleeper class ticket for any MAS bound train from Mumbai at a short notice, so I would use 6339 or 7493 Tirupati to get an easy reservation DR-RU, then travel RU-MAS unreserved on 6011!

This picture and many more are here - http://www.irfca.org/~sundar/index1.html - one of the oldest IR galleries created by an IRFCAN . Good to hear from you, Sundar!

DQ livery (Blue white and red stripe) did not exist in 1987..DQ livery came in 1991...Where as WCM5 was given DQ livery in 1995-96
