I think the IR Train Working Rules prevent the loco from being left unattended while on active service with a rake. It should be manned by atleast one of the crew!!!

Agreed Shanx that this was a trial run but is there a difference of Train working rules on regular runs & trial runs?? I'm not aware of any such rule, so can you please provide a link for the same.
