Got blown away! What a picture.

Great catch Ben! Aah! The catenaries have spoilt the look of the windmills.

Brilliant setting and great pic. What I love is the fact that an away going train has been shot.

Excellent photo. The catenaries and the wind turbine generators complement each other nicely.

Mind blowing...

Good picture & I am happy because the "KM-marker-72" also found a place in the photograph.:-)

By the way, is that "C" stands for Coasting? If so, would it be there even in diesel territories, considering the fact that the electric locos are yet to enter this Section?

The composition of the photo in the thumbnail itself caught my attention !
The compression effect of the telephoto shot gives it that proportion. Wow

Wonderful 'rear' picture compared to the standard 'front' pictures! Wish I take an 'unwired' picture soon from a place near UDT (another area where tracks pass closer to huge windmills).

VSP Sir - 72 is not the km mark, it is the LC number. KM marking for this line starts from ERS and ends at TEN.

Nicely taken with the windmills in the background.

Brilliant!!

Very unique, super shot!! @VSP - Yes, even diesel territories have "C" on them at places and the locos are on neutral here owing to down gradients.

Brilliant ...

A brilliant Capture of the Electricity Generating Wind Turbines and the power consuming source together in one frame, thank you for sharing this pic.....:-)

brillant..

Beautiful! I believe these windmills are part of the Muppandal windfarm, the largest in Asia. Have seen them during road trips from Nagercoil to Tirunelveli.
