What a Humble ending!

So calm and humble ending after all those busy stations !!! Very few trains start from this end !!! Mainly Mumbai - Kanyakumari , Bangalore City - Kanyakumari , Chennai - Kanyakumari , Himasagar Express , Thirukkural Express !!!

The opposite end, i.e. Udhampur is equally calm and peaceful. All the madness & hustle-bustle that is so typical of IR lies between these two ;-)

No lines for loco reversing supposing the rake is occupying the platform?

Posted by Samar (guest) on 2009 May 30 08:51:00 +0000

Himagirish, Gurudev Express runs only upto Nagercoil.

It looks more like a school building than a railway station!

Correct me if I am wrong but the rakes get stabled at Nagercoil, since CAPE does not have a stabling yard.

Nice shot.

@Samar: There is a loco reversing line in the middle that merges with both tracks on either side, slightly behind the photographer.
