Great shot! I can see boats in the river and lorries on the road. Where is the train?

Wow! This is a very long bridge! Is this bridge longer than the bridge on Narmada at Bharuch?

Yes it is longer than Narmada Bridge, but slightly less than Sone Bridge which is is the longest till now.

Amazing.... great shot of the bridge.. crisp and clear.. would love to see a passing train besides boats and trucks!!

Excellent....yes a train would be nice but I doubt we would be able to really see it clearly due to all that steel....

This bridge was major route for all express and goods train till 1995. Before than this bridge and other old bridge (without gridders) were in operation.
After 1995 new semi-circular bridge was constructed and became operational.
the old bridge is now non-functional and has been dismantled partially. Tracks are removed at some places.

The bridge you see now has become second to the new one. You pass through this bridge you dont pass through 'Godavari' station. You take new bridge you will pass through 'Godavari'station.

what are the speed restrictions on this bridge now. I dont know.
