Nice shot , only WCAM3 and and one WAG7 is alive so the HP of this combo comes out to be 10000 HP and the total is 33900 HP( if all are alive ).That means only 29% of power is utilized and more than 50% of power is saved. In all highly efficient System.

Dear Ashwin,
HP calculation was for fun. IR ppl are wise enough to save energy.

Even i know that Jattin Bhai. The calculated results gives the proof of it.Every one will always like to save the energy or in other words use it efficiently . So it is much obvious that "IR ppl are wise enough to save energy".

Wow! looks like a procession of electric locos is marching to IGP!

What could be the purpose of this combo going up the Ghats? I thought that the last 3 WAG-7s would be going downhill light after pushing a train up. Is a combo of WAG-5 and WAG-7 used as bankers? And why is the WCAM-3 also going uphill light (without rake)?

@Dr.Mulky: The first 2 WAG-7s and the sole WAG-5 must be returning after a KYN shed visit; piggybacking behind the WCAM-3. The rear trio are bankers.

have only the lead loco live, therby saving more energy ;).

My 2 cents here: only the lead WCAM3 is live, provided the rear G7 triplets were not an Mu-ed pair. The G7 twins, and G7 triplets must be banker sets going to IGP for forward banking. The G5 must be headed to IGP to pick up an assignment like the WCAM3. So to improve line utilization, all of them are bunched up together and sent up as a consist, with only one loco live.
