Sachin, if I recall correctly, these later came to be known as WAM1's. They were found mostly on ER.

These were called as BBM-1 and later renamed as WAM-1. They were based at ASN and SDAH till early 2000 before being scrapped at KPA workshop one by one.

Sachin bhai, this BBM/1 classification is based on the french classification for this class. These later became the WAG 1 series loco. They were originally imported from SNCF, france. Note the european style buffer and side window. You can see a pic of this loco here:

A couple of these were there at BSL ( Scrapped) say about five years back.

Jimmy, these were WAMs, not WAGs.
Zubin: I think your confusing these with the WAG2's that were based at BSL. Those were scrapped in the late 90s.
Anamitra - was SDAH ever a homing shed? I thought it was only a trip shed.
