Many trains like Deccan, Sinhagad, NCJ Exp etc are getting WCG-2s and WCAM-3s!

From now on Deccan Express will get CAM3 as regular link towards Mumbai.

That is news! The Deccan was hauled by a WCG-2 on the 4th of Jan 2009 when I spotted it at SVJR.

There's lot of fluctuation except, DQ, Pragati & Intercity Express. Kanyakumari Exp. is another example of a fluctuating link between WCG 2 and WCAM 3.
@ Jatin - If that is the case, it seems few more WCG 2 units have been scrapped. The last time I saw Deccan Express with WCG 2 was on 1st Jan 2009 in Up Direction.
@ Pawan, if you could have provided a pic, this would have been a raremost spotting.

Abhishek, no official confirmation of WCG2's getting scrapped. LP's have made a demand for a WCAM3 for the 1007/1008 for the sake of schedule upkeep!! WCAM3 will now be a regular even on the Deccan Express, especially 1008. 1007 may still toggle between a WCG2 and a WCAM3, but preference to WCAM3 will be there for the train henceforth.

@Pawan- Did you see UP Deccan Express 1008?
As DOWN Deccan 1007 was hauled by WCAM-3

It was the up Deccan express towards Mumbai. I was in Pune after a long time, hence didn't know that such a spotting would be a rare experience. I was under the impression that most trains on the Pune-Mumbai route get WCG2s. Also the station was Khadki and not SVJR with a RPF guy on the patrol hence could not risk taking out the camera!
