Lovely pic.

Is the section a twin single line or was the photo taken within the station premises?

Posted by Manish on 2008 Dec 22 16:31:42 +0000

Sachin ur pics leave us in amazement and awe, and desperately short of comments!!

@Manish,
Ankai is a station where the line from manmad to daund and nanded meet each other and then bifurcate off into the distance. The line on the right is the line to Nanded and the one on which the train is, is heading to Daund. You can see that the line on the right bifurcates to the right. From Manmad, the line to Nanded is ahead of the station towards Bhusawal, whereas the line to Daund is on the other side of the station towards Nasik. Trains leaving Manmad to either DD/NED will pass thru Ankai. In short, the line on which the train is, is the one to Daund and the adjacent one is the one to Nanded. Correct me if I am wrong.

Nothing can beat the charm of twin Gooty diesels.

Nice combination of colours. The solid cow-catcher adds more charm. I would say there is some 'bold' aspect coming out of this picture.

Looks like a dual gauge track with the inner track removed.
