Nice shot. Excellent contrast between the clean colourful loco and the dull dirty rake behind it.
Any idea as to why an AC/DC loco was being used on a fully AC section?

Arzan , grrr8 shot !!!
Lovely Colours on the WCAG-1 , I hope this would have hauled by a colourful container rake.

Good shot! But my notion is, this train is moving into Mumbai city and not to JNPT. There is a scheduled run of this rake every afternoon towards Mumbai. We spotted this rake almost every time we went to Saphale.

Lovely shot Arzie... you have promoted WCAG-1 in right way.

WCAG-1 locos are dual-braked(Air+Vacuum)and are regularly used for this type of train because they are vacuum braked. As they need to run in AC as well as DC territory on the Central Railway, they need a dual-power loco. These locos are either attached at Valsad or Udhna.

Thats a soooper pic, Arzan bhai. This is indeed the best pic of WCAG 1 I have ever seen. And it has rear view mirrors too. A feature common in all WCAG 1's?

Great pic sir. The sun falling on the face of the loco enhances the beauty of it!
