In 2001 I took this rail-bus from Talguppa to Shimoga. While returning, the train stopped before and after each level crossing to enable the travelling gateman lock and unlock the gates.

Nice shot. The desolateness of the station and the sadness of the dying line have been poignantly captured. The railbus seems to be shedding tears at its own plight!

I think the same railbus has been shifted to Sujathapuram near Nanjangud for the upcoming resort that they are planning.
