Even the Rani Chennamma exp is in line for a WDG4 link,Test runs are on its way.

Soemtime in Aug'07, the UBL passenger was running with a DG-4 link, I'm not too sure if it was just a link issue or a trial, but I saw it twice that month on that route.
Interesting to note that a DG-4 is now inline for a promotion!

Is it that DLW has manufactured WDG4s in excess or the shortage of WDP4s that is making IR take such decisions? If this tredn continues it would be better to name both classes of these locoas as WDM4!

No Karan,Its a thought being rethinked again and again via trial runs coz Ranichennama and UBL intercity as seen above are running late almost everyday by 30-45mins.Thereby WDG4 link for long rakes especially might make sense as well as makeup time lost!
