What’s the purpose of the MG coupler? Can the bogies be adjusted to accommodate the loco in MG tracks?

Wont the MG coupler be usefull in mixed gauge sections?

I am told by an DLW insider that there is substatial dual gauge within the compound. Is this BG shunter used to haul something in MG?

DLW supplies locos in very good condition to IR but it fails to maintain its own loco in well state. Look at the marker lamps, broken & looks very ugly.

I think this thing runs on dual gauge tracks... so it can shunt both MG and BG... and since the MG and BG share a common rail, MG coupler is offset to one side.
