I too have never seen bankers here at least from 1998 onwards. Even in the diesel days of Kalka Shatabdi there were no bankers. Why have they been introduced? I can see a WAP 5/7 hauled train in the background. Is it Paschim Exp?

It is the Paschim Express. The banker has come in after the length of this train was increased. Maybe they don't want to take any chances even though it is CBC.

Ok the banker is still a mystery to us all and Paschim with a WAP 7?? This has confirmed that the Paschim has changed totally into GZB link. So we can expect any GZB loco with it, even a WAP 5 ;-)

Paschim is worked by a WAP-7 from KLK till UMB only since last many months. It works 2926 in the morning and brings the 2925 from UMB in the afternoon. Regarding the Banker it all depends on the availability at that time. I have seen a WAP-1, WAP-7 and now even a WAM-4 as banker for KLK Shatabdi.

Listen dude, what I’m saying is that the P7's are used sometimes for the Paschim, whether it be for the ASR or the KLK bound and its link is GZB now. So that’s why I said it can get any loco from GZB. No one is going gaga over Paschim getting a WAP 7.
