These photos are from the top of Hotel Mermaid. The line is Ernakulam-Kottayam line. The hotel has a superb view of the tracks. Railfans coming to Ernakulam should seriously think of staying here, though it is a bit out of the way and away from the city

Nice picture. One correction. It is not passenger, but express and IR collects express fare for it. However for all practical purposes it is a passenger. It has halts everywhere except 5-6 stations.

Interesting you noticed! The number is so small it is normally missed incase you dont peer for it. It looked a wee bit better this way and hence I put it this way.
