Vrij, this kind of 'bottom-of-pier' ads are found on many bridges all over Gujarat. Dont know eho their target audience is since there is no great water transport here as in Kerala.

And Jimmy, even if Karnavati still gets WCAM1, it wont look the same coz all BL WCAMs have changed themselves to blue livery now!

Also a wonderful demonstration of the difference between BCN and BCNA wagons.

Lovely pic!

Btw.. were the advertisers targetting IRFCAns while placing their ads on the bottom of the piers?

Not three years back. As late as Dec 2005, the entire train had Karnavati liveried coaches!

That's probably because the tanker take is empty!! so there's no probable need of a buffer BCNA/BCXC/BOXN wagon.

The train gets a WCAM-2 now & coaches are a mix of AB livery and Karnavati livery

Why original glory, Bharat? Does'nt the train still have similar liveried coaches and gets a WCAM 1?

Hmmm intresting to note that there is no BOXN or BCNA wagon behind the loco. Noramlly the line up is loco - BOXN/BCNA wagon - tanker rake - BOXN/BCNA wagon-Caboose!

Aah!! Nostalgic! This is the location where the railfan in me was born, long before I came across IRFCA and fellow railfans!
