The "human touch" for Indian Railways. Can feel the excitement of the girl starting out on her train journey.

Harsh, this is not the Western most point. That credit goes to Naliya. If that line is discontinued, then Dwarka is the Westernmost station of India

The hand in the picture is of my baby girl's. The station is Ernakulam Jn and train in the background in TVC-CLT Jan Shatabdi.

@ Srini - You are right, it was an African "White" mamba going in for the kill. The speed was very impressive indeed. This was taken from the RoB and the Dippy was so furious that it was a damn scary experience :)

@ Ramdev, Ujjwal - Thanks!

By looking at the amount of smoke coming out it seems that the train was moving at a good speed.

Pawan - A fantastic picture. And, a very descriptive caption too.

But, was the Dippy coming in at a slow speed to describe it as "slithering into Makalidurg" ?? Or, did it come at you at great speed to describe it as an "African black mamba coming in for the kill" ??? Speeds on the main line are at least 60 Kmph for non stopping trains at Makalidurg.
