Nice catch. Great colour scheme but the shape and the window grill doesn't appear as impressive as it's older version. Rightly said Alok.

I agree. They really need to switch back to the older design. This look is awful and completely out of character with the rest of the loco.

The various analogue gauges of the control stand are integrated into composite TFT panels. This has been mentioned under point # 20 in this document.
Also check point # 39 - the PIXI display mentioned therein is explained on this page.

The roofmounted part may be the Anti-collision device (ACD) sensor - this loco is meant to go on the NEFR route where the ACD system is active. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti_Collision_Device

Was there a camera on the LHF? The LCD panel might be there to give the LPs a better view.
