Is the WDP-2 shorter than a WDM-2 or is it just an illusion caused by the angle of the photograph?

16885 was built in October,1998, not 1996. And it is not the last one. Two more WDM-2 locos rolled out after this one. The last one is 16887, now at NER/Gonda shed.

This rebuild, as also the other two Erode rebuilds, 17519 & 17544, never got the 'R' tag. As Rabibrata had mentioned, only the DCW rebuilds get this suffix.

The guys in green dress are the coolies. They are from Muslim league union. These guys wanted me to take a photo of them too. One guy said that he can pose in front of the loco. The others guys said they had a lot to load and see you next time. They seem to be familiar with me and my camera!!

Cool - looks like there is the MU connection socket available in this rebuilt loco too! But I wonder if anyone would want to MU this face between two locos.
