I guess they ran out of white color and replaced it with cream! Any idea which shed is getting these new beasts?

I heard from a senior employee of ED shed that 11171 is being scrapped. They have sent it to DLW for salvaging the remaining parts. Did he make a mistake? Maybe 11178 is getting scrapped! Can the person who took this photograph kindly confirm??

What’s the purpose of the MG coupler? Can the bogies be adjusted to accommodate the loco in MG tracks?
