Vijay & other covering this ocassion has there been special mps, tsr and psr imposed for AC loco hauled trains between CCG & BVI or is it the same as it used to be for DC?

Why have you specified "AC" panto? A WAP-5 will have both pantos AC. I guess force of habit, after seeing Ac - DC pantos for so many years. :-)

Nice coverage. Nice to see a 3 phase loco in Mumbai. But sorry to say WAP5 cannot match the charm and beauty of WCAM2P. LHB livery WCAM2P with LHB rajdhani was just unbeatable. I still have 4-5 videos left of WCAM2P with King. Will upload them once I get fast net connectivity.

While I thank my namesake for this shot... could not help but mention that the knife in my heart just went a lil bit deeper.. (bye bye dc in WR)

I hope white locos will scorch the tracks on left in not so distant future. Read in TOI last year that CR is planning to finish its traction conversion by mid 2013.

Call it an irony but the first city to see electric traction is the last among 4 Metropolitan cities to see a 3 phase AC loco. But as they say "Der aaye par Durust aaye".

NB: Maybe WRs BRC ELS should have spared a spanking new 30045/46 for the occasion.
