Goya Gate station was renamed as Vishwamitri. It is the next station after Pratapnagar towards BRC (BG) and Jambusar (NG)and is famous for its two - level PF with the NG at a lower level and BG on a higher level. Posted by Dr.Jitendra Mulky on 2011 Sep 07 12:55:00 +0000 |

Sorry again, my mistake. BG services are running from Dabhoi to Pratapnagar, but not to Vadodara. This Pratapnagar - BRC line would pass the quaint NG station at Vishwamitri and then join the main Bombay - Baroda line. Posted by Dr.Jitendra Mulky on 2011 Sep 07 12:47:56 +0000 |

Once the biggest NG junction in the country with 5 lines radiating from it (to Miyagam, Pratapnagar, Samlayam Chhuchhapura and Chandod), today it has been invaded by the BG giants. This NG route runs through a totally different landscape as compared to Dabhoi area. The Bilimora - Waghai line passes through much more fertile areas, giving way to dense forests on the lower slopes of the Dangs mountains.
