The old world charm of railways, the point switch, the point signal, wow I just miss the old days.

The are two types semaphores on single mast. The upper one being the "Home" signal and the lower one being the "Warner" signal, which has its arm painted in yellow and has a ">" cut on the arm. If both the Home and Warner are down, that means the train does not have to stop at the station and it can proceed till the next block section. The "directional signals", that is multiple semaphore signals on the same "T" mast indicate the loop line the train is going to. Then you have the "Co-acting" signals, which like home and warner are on the same mast but are operated via single lever. These are installed behind the FOB for better visibility for the train driver. The signal here, neither serves the purpose of "Home and Warner", not directional. I am not sure if it is a "co-acting signal".

If the sun is against the LP's eyes, this background plate helps improve the visibility of the semaphore signal.
