Details posted in the group. Passenger services to the station were discontinued after a barge hit the Venduruthy Bridge that connect the Island with mainland on Aug 2004. Goods services resumed almost a year later. Passenger service may not resume again, so the station is abandoned

Fabulous pics Jimmy! Lovely old signal cabin and a beautiful front facade to the station building to...realy upsetting to see that they havent even bothered to maintain these gorgeous heritage structures. A real pity. The platform shot was great to..looked like an old British station...which it is in any case! :-) Gr8 work on the photos once again!
