Looks like a new and yet to be commissioned signal to me. It has been installed near a new line. Did an older line exist there earlier?

Excellent pic Apurva, this section is a delight for fans wanting to check out Neals Ball token operations, semaphore signallings and diesel action at its best, sharp curves, cut sections and tunnels added as a bonus.

The crew look back at their train on significant curves to check that their load has no visible problems. - after finding that everything is okay, the crew member on the curve side says 'train right' and the other person says 'right'.

The two aspect capable green signal is actually an advanced starter as it is positioned beyond the loop line merging with the mainline. The normal starter would be placed to the left of the train in same position as the loop line starter

It's a level crossig duty hut. The number means level crossing number 46, C class, run by a single man (12 hr shift, 6am to 6 pm, night closed) and is operated by engineering department.

The width is also a problem. The schedule of dimensions provide for a minimum distance of 5.33 m on BG between the c/l of the track and the FOB on a passenger platform. Here the columns are very near the edge of the narrow island platform.

Thats a good gesture by KR to have a bridge for easy wheelchair access. But just imagine how much one would have to walk back and forth with heavy luggage to cross just one track!
