Is the Kalyan WDM2 at the other end or in the middle of the rake. I have always seen this train with the loco in the middle and driving cabs at eah end. Some years back, the locos used to have a livery similar to the rake, but now it seems all have been painted to KYN standard maroon-blue.

Turnout laying machine (T-28) which has a set of portal cranes which can move on caterpillar tracks also.

A CSM (plasser make) which tamps 2 sleepers at a time. The driver's cab caterpillars on the machine and hence keeps moving while the machine stops and starts.

Alok, this one is probably a much older rake repainted... i assume that looking at the headlights, originally single beam retrofitted as a twin beam :. that could also explain the difference in looks

This is actually the livery for all new ICF MEMUs. Only the front looks slightly different. I think they started using this livery from 2003 onwards. They also changed the numbering scheme from 2004. The earlier ones were 2xxxx now they are 04xxx or 05xxx depending on the year
