@Anamitra , I did not find any cctv in LHF. Regarding LHF driving, this loco has better visibility than WDG4. The LPs are not that much uncomfortable in driving WDG4/WDP4 LHF mode. In fact few driver takes LHF as their life saver in some past unfortunate incident.

Good job, Subhabrata. A great step forward for IR ... even though this loco cab reminds me of Shanx's "Elec Bill Counter" ... maybe this is the "Elec Company HQ" albeit diesel-powered! :-)

The three air reservoirs are visible in this view - MR1 and MR2 (the main reservoirs for the braking system)and the cylindrical, air start reservoir. The box on the right of the fuel tank contains NiCad batteries for standby electrical power.

In a departure from IR's tradition with diesels, this prime mover cranks with an air starter rather than an electric starter motor. The loco is provided with an independent air start reservoir visible under the frame (the cylindrical tank next to the fuel tank).
For regular operations, the Autostart system will keep the air tank charged. In case the loco has been dead for a while, air from another coupled loco can apparently charge the air start reservoir.
