Hi Sachin, at 600mm, minimum shutter needed to handhold and keep it steady is 1/600sec. I had another camera on my tripod so I had to hold this. My lens is sharpest at f9 so I use that aperture. It was giving 1/300sec at ISO200 so I raised it to 400 to get higher shutter. This will avoid shake.

ON BEHALF OF ABHIJNAN: Apurva Sir, neither did I want the statements to be amusing nor did I want to become a hero. Infact, I am very particular about personal safety during railfanning. I was a little taken aback by what happened that day during railfanning, because I never expected something like that could happen to me. Moreover, the train was not too close to me.It was about half a kilometer away. And Rohit Sir, incredible as it may sound, the train sure didnot make any sound. - Abhijnan Ray

Many thanks for the comments. Trailing loco is a Shakthi in the 13xxx series. Its quite grainy as I had to increase ISO to keep camera steady at this focal lenght(600).

Its not KZJ but ERS. A really nice photo as the orange compliments the green.

An apt song these two garish diesel beasts can question each other: The Who's "Who are you?"

Shakurbasti seems to have switched to a toned-down livery for its WDS-4s.

Interesting indeed! A coach from probably every type of passenger train running on IR, except perhaps for the JS.
