SBI YDM 4 #6402

Thanks Abhijit for the clarification. Now the layout makes much more sense. Please try and upload a recent map of the Ahmedabad - Sabarmati area, as it is very confusing.

Correction. BG and MG now run parallel all the way from ADI to Mehasana. The earlier dual MG line from Sabarmati to Khodiyar has been converted to one BG and one MG. All north bound trains out of ADI use this line. The original BG line via Chandlodia still exists. This is electrified till IFFCo, Kalol. The Shanti express, which is back to an electric link uses this line.

Nimish, BG and MG run parallel only from ADI - Sabarmati and from Khodiyar to Mahesana. From Sabarmati, the BG line follows the Viramgam line upto Chandlodiya and then takes a sharp turn northwards to Khodiyar Jn.

This MG line runs almost parallel to the BG one. Would be nice to catch MG/BG parallel action.
