If station was named "Idgah Agra" then a portion of station board towards bottom left resembles saying "Agra" in hindi.

Jimmy, yes it is possible that I have uploaded it in the past. But this is a new scan. I screened the slide at a show last Saturday night, and I scanned it two or three nights later.

Interesting epigraphy on the brass plates: Top plate, "Surakhsha pratham", i.e., "safety first". Bottom plate just above the doors of the coal furnace, "Koyla swadisht hai", meaning "the coal is tasty". The loco appears to be tastefully decorated inside.

The crown sitting elegantly on the exhaust pipe, does add a regal touch to YP 2579. There's a sense of pride attached to a steam loco thats sadly missing from its diesel and electic counterparts. Thanks a lot John, for these pictures.

W/B is Whistle/Bridge. There is a bridge further down the line. Moreover, the train is on a curve. A similar sign is also before the road-cum-rail bridge over River Godavari.
