Classic, quaint and beautiful. The hills completely dwarf the YG... Its so nice to see this line from the tracks rather than from the train, as I did. Keep 'em coming John!

The train is southbound, heading to Ahmedabad. The catenary is over the BG line/s: the MG was of course not electrified.

I can see catenary. Does this bridge lie on the Mumbai-ADI main line?...so then how many lines were there on the bridge then and also now?

Nicely decorated indeed. I saw one arriving at Jaipur off the line from Ringas in 1991 with a similar deflector painting.

I am sure that Harsh's identification of the train as the Vaishali Express is correct as we travelled on it from Agra to Kanpur on 25 Feb 1979.

have travelled in MG Vaishali from Siliguri to Lucknow Jn way back in 1979...didn't know it went uptill Agra..
