This snap is rare!! coz
1) The 2609 /10 is now WDP4 hauled.
2) It used to get a WAP4 on normal occasions.

Two things to note - the first visible MG catenary post (extreme left) also has neutral zone board (sadly no wires!) and the entire track under the rake of 103 is visible - not a frequent capture.

Looks have improved with the large windshield, it would look better if the head lamps were moved to the head.

This loco was christened 'JAWAHAR', and initially classified WAP1 FM II later WAP3. She hauled the Bhopal Shatabdi on its inaugural run circa 1983, and was standard haulage for that train for a while. The loco now seems a shadow of her formal glory. This was one of the first WAPs retrofitted with large windshields.
