WDG5 - 5500 HP diesel electric locomotive

Finally the Dash stepping up to International EMD standards with an All Digital setup. / Great to see that Locomotive Pilots Needs are addressed for the First time.
I bet The crew to drive this will have a Telephone directory of Trouble shootings procedures and Mandatory acknowledgments to abide with. (such is the technology upgraded)

Very accurate Pressure readings as compared to Analog needles.
Helpful to the Loco Pilot especially if he has a Long Freight formation which usually takes Ages to build up Pressure across the entire formation.

Khalid , the Neral-Matheran railway does have air braked rolling stock but it is not in use . There is a brakeman in every coach and they to manually apply the brakes .

The loco has air-brake system instead of vacuum brake!!Still a rarity in narrow-gauge railways of India.Though I think the Nerul-Matheran railway also has air-braked rolling stock.Maybe those sections which have steep gradients are given priority in air-brake conversion?
