The TATA WAG-1 is condemned and would be removed when the funds are available. That is the story from the guys at Loco Shed.

Neil, the colour the loco bears is actually the DLW colour.the loco's get re-painted only once a year.this means that this loco will get re-painted into KJM colours only by this year end. moreover you can notice the engine head covers piled up on the foot board.

Gr8 pic once again Dr.Saif! This is a revelation though..you mentioned a TATANAGAR WAG1 standing in the shed yard. I thought WAG1's had been phased out by now? At least on WR (BRC) and SCR (BZA). Could you confirm this pls?

Great pics Mr.Saifullah! As you may have read on the IRFCA posts, Vikas Chander and me are planning a trip to the KK line and VSKP early March! Will be troubling you with all the information we need! :-) BTW are these locos POH'ed in VSKP itself or then in Kharagpur Workshops??

Lovely pic of countless WDM's lined up! Only thing thats worrisome is, going sheerly by the no. of locos in shed, KJM's outage doesnt seem that impressive somehow!!?

Jagan, my theory is that the Loco was painted from the inside too & so the doors have been left open to dry the paint.

The latest diesels are bulgies ! That observation crumbles another belief that only rebuilt locos have the 'bulge'.

Why are most of the doors and access panels open?

The Class designations are now being painted on top near the headlight instead of near the buffers as usual
