.
This loco had caught fire and was apparently burnt beyond repair. The way the paint has peeled off confirms the fact that it must have been a major fire! Posted by Vivek Manvi on 2006 Apr 13 01:06:39 +0000 |

Doesn't look like it's crashed....any idea why it's scrapped? Posted by Bizzy Mishra on 2006 Apr 13 00:56:42 +0000 |

My god, what a livery. Seems the WDM 2 class markings are blanked out. Superb catch Posted by Jimmy Jose on 2006 Apr 12 21:06:41 +0000 |

Well, take a look at the bogie, Trimount alright, but there's something different about it...you can actually see the wheel very clearly, as compared to conventional WDMx. A WDS4x can be seen in the background behind the MG rakes. My guess is as good as anybody else's, with regard to the loco in question. Posted by Kharad Zarir Variyava on 2006 Apr 10 01:01:01 +0000 |

my take! it is a WDM2 whose short hood was damaged due to minor collision and GOC salvaged it for its own use. Don't quite know how it is hauling MG rakes. Posted by Aseem Johri on 2006 Apr 09 20:13:44 +0000 |

Very much a WDM-2. Initially I thought it could be a jumbo modified to have a short nose but the chances are remote, as the windshield looks like a shoddy "aftermarket" job. Posted by Bizzy Mishra on 2006 Apr 09 13:37:01 +0000 |
I wonder what this loco hit? The buffers, cattle-guard and coupling seems to be intact! Also, the headlights and markers seem to have suffered little or no damage!
Does anyone have any inputs?
