Looking at this (http://www.irfca.org/gallery/Uploads/200605241147u.jpg.html) snap in the gallery, I find that the new foot overbridge has come up quite fast. This means that the second platform can be used on a regular basis for passenger trains now. Earlier, this was just used as a service platform for freight, maintenance vehicles, crossings, etc.

The driving cab behind the loco, & the livery on the subsequent coaches suggest that the rake being used is that of the Diva-Vasai DMU.

At Palghat, I have seen a WDS6 heading a BTPN rake to MAQ. That train originated in CBE, and the driver was complaining about the inadequate power.
