hi...what is that strange structure behind the signal post with S39 board(behind the wagons)?seems like a hood of a WDP4..please correct me if i am wrong...

Nice pic, old man! I think the LC guy must have seen a runover by this train, he was going bonkers trying to shoo me away from the tracks though I was at a safe distance.

Thanks a lot for the comments. WDM 3D's have lost their identity since WDP 4 type head lamps are no longer fitted on them. The newer WDM 3D's look almost same like WDM 3A's, especially on the SH side. The LH looks different though, with the extended walkways

sandeep,i think the headlamps seen on the older DM3Ds were the same unit that are there on the WDP/WDG4 series.
