Nice set of pics, Old Man! Nice to see a new perspective to the trains I had clicked from up above the hill nearby!

I think this thing runs on dual gauge tracks... so it can shunt both MG and BG... and since the MG and BG share a common rail, MG coupler is offset to one side.

Feel like hopping in and taking that beast for a ride... nothing can beat the audio feedback of notching up a shakti!

exactly.. the 'stubble' is gone.. clean shaven baby is less menacing.. and a change in colour of the white DBR box will be most welcome

Like Jimmy, THIS was something I was searching for! Brown YDM4s with long yellow stripes. I was just around five or six when they (this livery) disappeared... is this from GTL?
And the short hood face has a short yellow stripe(around the mid-height) isn't it?

A treasure. What I have been searching for many years! The Cochin-Madras mail. This is the first dieselized BG train in Kerala. The first diselised train in Kerala was however on the MG line at Quilon. The first regular diesel hauled train was TVC-ERS MG Venad Exp, dieselized in 1969 or so. The loco is defenitely from Erode shed. Look at the small prancing deer logo. My dad says that Madras-Cochin mail had such a livery for many years. So this must be a loco with matching livery. Can someone clarify? This train is now Trivandrum-Madras mail

Which shed does this WDM-2 belong to then? ED or KJM?

See the clock tower. It is 13.45. If the time of present 2640 has not been changed since then, it should be Brindhavan. 2640's departure @ SBC is 14:30 now. Also look at the little folks posing well, by holding the rails for the camera.
