Looks have improved with the large windshield, it would look better if the head lamps were moved to the head.

This loco was christened 'JAWAHAR', and initially classified WAP1 FM II later WAP3. She hauled the Bhopal Shatabdi on its inaugural run circa 1983, and was standard haulage for that train for a while. The loco now seems a shadow of her formal glory. This was one of the first WAPs retrofitted with large windshields.

Note that the front side is not a typical ED. The font (& position) of loco number, 'dha re', grill, extended grey paint at the top borders... all indicate that this is not a full ED product!

The YDM4 really looks amazing in the RTM WDM3A livery. Nice picture Apurva.

WDP3A at MS

So nice to see 15505 in her early days. I think this photo was shot sometime in 2001 or so. Just a few months into our marriage, I used to go to Egmore with my wife for loco spotting, I used to explain to my wife that this loco is different than the ones found elsewhere. Later WDP 3A's had the Diesel Shakti livery.

On a sad note, I feel sorry for this loco since it has been scrapped. Thanks a million, Anand for this priceless picture
