I don't know if my eyesight is failing me, but I can count only 12 coaches and no bankers.

Such intelligent data loggers will have plenty of memory to store events / faults / parametric readings and then relay them back to the centralised server over the GSM data link when the GSM signals are available. So, if the fault does not incapcitate the loco in the ghats, the data on such faults will surely reach the server with some delay.
