Mick has excellent collection of vintage pictures. BTW, Mick see if you can put any pictures of the Kanpur Anwarganj-Lucknow-Gorakhpur route when it was MG. I would really cherish them. The time I was 6-7 years and gained my senses, it was all in vanishing stage.

And by the way..
BNC-bangalore cantonment was B.G and well formed too with existing 2platforms lines and 1 midline!(connecting to JTJ).
B.G was extended till SBC recently(ie 1986).

Yes, I think that is correct, looking north-west. It was a long time ago and my first visit to India so recollections are hazy.I was there a couple of years ago and found it almost impossible to figure out where the old steam locoshed had stood. In those days passenger trains were of little importance there but have a much higher profile today.
