Hi Praveen, thanks for the update. I had forgotten the name of the station, hence had to go in for the non-conventional caption. A nice station indeed, and the station master was definitely a very happy and jovial person!

The picturesque little Thondebhavi station; its from here that the ascent up the Makalidurga ghats starts. While the BG alignment veers slightly to the right, the erstwhile MG alignment continues straight on; clearly visible from the train.
