Deepak, Maralahalli is a non-commercial halt (only for passengers) just after Tyakal and 6 km before Bangarpet. It is basically to reduce the block section length between Tyakal and Bangarpet on the Bangalore-Chennai line.

Super Shot. As for Sid's question, remember that the camera was inside the train, and hence, it was stationary relative to the train. Of course, only a highly sensitive camera can follow the movement of its subject so quickly (and it is a good camera, EOS5D!). Put the 2 things together and you can see why the train has come out sharp.
