A rare BCCNR wagon awaits scrappers axe at Ernakulam Marshalling Yard. These wagons, earlier used to carry Maruti cars, are very rare nowadays since they have given way to NMG class wagons. NMG class wagons are basically old passenger wagons modified to carry cars and motorbikes. There has been wide scale scrapping of these BCCNR wagons at Ernakulam Marshalling. Odd. I thought that NMGs were around well before these wagons were built.
