A view of the tunnel – you are warned NOT to go into this tunnel if you are even mildly claustrophobic. There are very few places I know of that match the sheer remoteness and the horror value of this tunnel.
The shock of the changing surroundings – one instant you are on a sunny, friendly double railway line with majestic hills at the back – next instant you are in a jet black grotto with poor side clearance, deafening silence and endless dark passages. The fragile human side of you wants to leave this hell, but the pride in what you believe you are wants you to complete the challenge of the walk through.
